The Recession Is Over!

The recession is over and has been for some time.  It really wasn’t that big of a deal.  Shit happens, right?  But the caucaphony of modern media blows things out of proportion.  Remember Terry Shiavo?  Did that really matter?  Nope, but it got a lot of press.

The democrats are angry and riled up at CEOs.  The republicans are angry and riled up at government spending.  They’re both wrong, but they’re both getting a lot of press.

But the recession is over.  Did you see last week?  Stocks CAN go up.  That was a sign.  You see JPMorgan Chase?  They’re buying jets.  They’re ready to put this behind us.

Yeah, AIG is fucked, but the sky has stopped falling.  A few more businesses will fall, a couple more people will lose their jobs, but the whole thing was really a media-fueled overreaction.

You probably lost some money, unless you’re young and had few assets.  If you can scrape some dough together, it’s a great time to buy stocks.  We’re past the bottom, but it’s still a good time to buy.

Wait a minute... how can it be over, and how could it have been a media fueled overreaction... when there's no media left because they've all lost and are continuing to lose their jobs?

/agrees with many of your points.
