1. President Obama’s Plan for Afghanistan - Funding for operations in Afghanistan will jump 60%.  Investing in economic development + cracking down on extremists = better safer future for everyone. As we were reminded in the movie Charlie Wilson’s War: “These things happened. They were glorious and they changed the world… and then we fucked up the end game.” – Charlie Wilson  Perhaps Pres. Where the Wild Things Are Trailer - Esquire loves it.  The Trailer.  We’ll see about the movie.  But the director, Spike Jonze, has one heck of a task with this one.  I mean, one of my great friends has the wildthings tattooed around his ankle for crying out loud.  It is one of the greatest children’s books ever.  (From Esquire.com)

5. Holy Crap LeBron James is good - Steve Kroft gets a sit down with LeBron on this Sunday’s 60 minutes.  LeBron sinks a 3/4 floor shot, one hand, UNDERHAND, on the first try.  Holy crud.
