Obama pulls an about face on detainee photos

1. On second thought… let’s keep those snapshots to ourselves -
The President changes his mind on the release of actual photos showing more prisoner mis-treatment at the hands of U.S. military.  Sec. of Defense Robert Gates asked them not to be released, General Petraus asked them to not be released… it’s good to have a Chief Executive who actually LISTENS to those around him.  (From the NY Times)  But then again, the photos will probably come out anyway through lawsuits.

2. Things you’re not supposed to take pictures of - Detainee Abuse, surprisingly not in this Flickr gallery.  Someone should probably ask though:  Why was there even a camera there?

3. RNC to “re-label” the Democratic Party - Internally of course… just in their own tree house.  When they meet next week the Republicans will decide they’ve gotta start calling the Democrats the “Democrat Socialist Party.”  Even Hot Air calls this move “Stupid.”  Yes… yes it is.  I’m really thinking it’s time for the Whigs to rise up.  (From Hot Air)

Don’t blame the CIA - They’re not the total rebels that they’re made out to be.  Part of their awfully difficult job is being the whipping boy for ever foreign policy / security meltdown, ever…  They asked what they could and couldn’t do to Terrorist Detainees… it was the administration that gave the thumbs up.  (From NPR)

5. Gov. Sarah Palin can “relate” to Miss California USA - I don’t know why Gov. Palin is all of a sudden adding her two cents in to every matter of every sort.  Even if it’s just a publicity stunt.  Is it so hard to just not pipe up?  And who the hell is trying to “deny” the Beauty Queen her First Amendment Rights?  You wanna speak your mind?  Fine… but be ready for criticism if you’re being a dope.  The right to free speech isn’t freedom from criticism.  (From Politico)
